The Pope

Isn't it a little embarrassing that the reason I know about the pope selection process stems from having read Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons"?

It's fascinating, though --- mostly because, in retrospect, everything seems tinged with a touch of destiny and fate.

And I guess when you're one of the countless ordinary people roaming this planet, it's important every now and then to believe that there are some of us who are destined for greater things...and if you're very lucky, that person might even be you.
